Bio

The Extasies are an indie Post-punk/New wave duo formed by French-Mexican couple Arnault Faucomprez (guitar/synths/samples/vocals) and Karen M. (bass/synths/vocals), who share a deep love for music, with a wide range of influences (Joy Division, The Velvet Underground, The Beatles, Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, TV On The Radio, and more great artists). They started back in 2013 playing gigs in their hometown Cancun, Mexico, and releasing cover videos on YouTube, including some Joy Division covers that were well received.

Between 2022 and 2023 they released 4 original experimental instrumental tracks inspired by cosmic music, ambient and electronic music:
Firewave, Space Soundtrack, Whale Song and Infinite Loop.

In 2024, The Extasies released their first original song with vocals:
Cosmic Dance, with its warm sounding Galactic Remix, and in 2026 they released their new single Experience, with its intense Synth Version.

The Extasies are writing and recording more original songs, so stay tuned.
